About the Journal
The Journal of Contemporary Issues in Sport (JCIS) is a scholarly, quarterly peer-reviewed publication serving both academics and practitioners. JCIS is dedicated to examining and disseminating research, critical analysis, and thought-provoking discussions on contemporary issues within the field of sport management and peripheral topics including but not limited to the following: 1) sport business and management including marketing, sponsorship, revenue management, and other sport business-related topics; 2) social, psychological, and cultural dimensions of sport; 3) sport governance and ethics; 4) leadership in sport; 5) global perspectives on contemporary issues in sport; 6) communication and public relations in sport; 7) sport tourism and event management; 8) data analytics in sport; and 9) coaching and educational issues in sport.
JCIS serves as a valuable resource for scholars, researchers, educators, students, sport industry professionals, policymakers, and anyone interested in exploring and understanding the dynamic and evolving landscape of contemporary issues in sport. The manuscripts should provide sound contributions to the sport industry using creative and comprehensive implications based on the conceptual/empirical framework in a concise format with up to 4,000 words in length. JCIS welcomes a diverse range of research methodologies, including quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, case studies, and interdisciplinary approaches. The journal encourages innovative and rigorous research methods to address complex contemporary issues in sport. Publication Frequency
The Journal of Contemporary Issues in Sport is published semi-annually in June and December, ensuring the timely dissemination of cutting-edge research and insightful perspectives on contemporary issues within the world of sport.
